Upcoming June/July Events
June 29
One of the country’s biggest Pride celebrations, the Chicago Pride Parade steps off June 29 and winds it’s way through the Lakeview East neighborhood. With over 200 floats and music, it is a can’t miss event and a Chicago favorite.
July 4
If you haven’t witnessed the Chicago 4th of July Fireworks show live, it’s a MUST DO. Set at the lakefront, the fireworks light up the Chicago skyline like nothing you have ever seen. And your vantage points are plentiful – Live at Navy Pier, a lakefront cruise, or the lakeshore will give you a birdseye view of the spectacular celebration.
July 11 – July 13
Paintings, sculptures, and jewelry abound at the Chicago Tribune North Michigan Avenue Art Festival. Located just blocks from dana, stroll the 8 blocks of artwork featuring hundreds of artists. Perhaps you will take home a little something extra.
July 18 – July 20
One of the most anticipated events of the season, Pitchfork brings some of the best of alternative rock, hip-hop and rap to Chicago. It’s truly a must see music event.
July 24
We all love to spend a relaxing day meandering through beautiful Lincoln Park Zoo . . . but on one Thursday night each month, the zoo goes a little wild and brings you the Zoovies . . . movies at the zoo. Admission is free, and food and beverages are available. Stretch out on the famous South lawn, and enjoy.
